Travis Lodge Motel 16

The room was fresh and clean. Daily room service. When we checked in they were friendly and easy going. Ya it’s a small operation but they do a great job. The room is tight but we weren’t expecting a suite. There was a refrigerator and microwave. They even kept a parking spot for us one night, just in case I guess. Anyway, for the price and expectation it served us very well. The location is good as well. We were doing a lot of physical labor, settling our tiny home in the hills up behind Oakland and were tired at the end of each day. The bed was fine. Sure there is no “roof top” pool and expansive bar and dance floor. But I didn’t want to pay $450 a night. Comfortable and just right. I would stay here again.

Very clean. Non smoking. I like it. Otherwise the room will smell bad.

Way overpriced for the area. The room was recently redone I guess but had no closet or drawers at all. A friend had to crawl under the bathroom sink to plug in the fridge as it was placed in the vanity area of the bathroom. The kicker was the staff insisted they clean the room everyday ( just sweeping) to see what guests are doing in their rooms lol. Managers words not mine. I left for a 3 star hotel that was almost half the cost cheaper. I liked the name of the motel so I had to try it out. Won't return.

First of all the owner and his wife were really rude. Second, there were cockroaches on the walls and when I asked if I could get a different room they said I had to leave with no refund. Dont ever come here.

SKETCH FACTOR DEFCON 5. TERRIBLE. Cigarette burns on the bathtub ledge and furniture, blankets had mystery stains (hmmm). smelled like stale cigs. Heard some screams at night. I woke up to a few cop cars with lights flashing. I didn't investigate. I forgot to check about bed bugs. Mind you this review is from about 6 years ago.
