Travelodge by Wyndham Vallejo

I can give the Travelodge four stars. The room is clean, the bathroom new with a nice shower, the motel has a hot tub I don't use, its reasonable quiet, the coffee is really good and made from fresh beans, the walls are thick enough to sleep without hearing the neighbors and the owners are kind people. The area around Walmart is pretty ugly and dirty but I play golf and the courses are beautiful. The bed is firm and what I had never before: I walk barefoot on the carpet and the feet are NOT black after one hour. So its either cleaned or new. You get something for the money and I recommend.

Positive: Has obviously been refurbished recently, new furniture and nicely appointed bathroom. Huge walk-in shower was a particular highlight! Negative: The outdoors areas could use the same level of attention the rooms have gotten. The stairs are very run-down and rough and the pool/hot tub were out of commission when I stayed.

Welcome friendly. Excellent clean room.The best bed we slept in all week.The towels were thick and good quality. It was a good size room for the purpose it had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Fast food nearby Mighty Mikes pizza was excellent.

My buddy and I drove seven hours and even added and paid for an extra night to our stay. Upon arrival, I requested a room with two beds instead of one since my fiancé was no longer joining me. Despite it being 2 a.m., the front desk attendant was unaccommodating and dismissive. I also found spiders on the bed sheets and ended up sleeping on the floor, waking up with itchy skin. No alternative options, such as a rollaway bed, were offered. I paid for the second night but did not stay due to how uncomfortable the experience was. Overall, the service was rude and unhelpful. I will not be staying here again.

At the price range, the room was really good! The location is...right off the freeway, so that's a consideration...the Parking lot, while small, was clean, and I could park within view of my room (a bit of reassurance I appreciate). No USB connections in the room unless you bring your own...not horrible, a minor inconvenience. No "freezer" portion in the mini fridge, another minor inconvenience. For my personal preference, the mattress was uncomfortably firm, I still got a good nights sleep, so ultimately not too big of a deal. Had full 5g service (tmobile) so I didn't need to use the wifi. Would definitely stay again next time I have to travel that way.
