Travelodge by Wyndham Suites St Augustine

We arrived at the property on January 5 in the afternoon and were immediately met with cleanliness and maintenance issues that fell significantly below Wyndham brand standards.||||Upon entering the room, we found the bed sheets visibly dirty. We reported this to the front desk and were informed that housekeeping could not replace them, but that we could take clean sheets and change them ourselves. Given the circumstances, we agreed. However, no additional blankets were available to replace the soiled ones.||||Shortly after, we noticed that the air-conditioning unit was heavily covered in dust. Concerned about both air quality and functionality, we cleaned the filters ourselves. My husband and I just stayed at this hotel for 6 nights (Feb 1-7th). We booked through booking.com and had no issues at check in. Our room was in the back section and was bigger than expected with a little couch seating area. The man that handled the linens was very nice and knowledgeable about the area. He gave us directions and conversations about music and food. He helped us with extra coffee cups when we ran out (housekeeping only came when called - during our stay at least). The hotel is located in a fairly decent location. We were able to walk to the coffee shop on one side, there was also a bakery on the front side of the hotel. The drive to Castillo de San Marcos was maybe 5 minutes, we parked in the lot there most of the time for $2.50 an hour. Ripleys and the Old Jail are close

We had room 110. It was absolutely clean & well maintained. I was worried about taking my own iron, but they thought of & supplied everything. We had a California King bed, & it was super comfortable. The linens were clean & they supplied great pillows - not flat or flimsy. The bathroom was WELL supplied with clean white towels. Parking was easy & free. The pool area is very cute & I bet people really enjoy it in the summertime. The owner was very helpful & had brochures & maps of the area to supply. She made great recommendations - thanks to her, we didn't miss out on the Night of Lights tour. We travel a lot & always look for an affordable hotel. This didn't break the bank, & we felt comfortable & safe. Also, it is easy to get into from the main road. We have already recommend

Great location. Close to Fort Mose Park. Room was clean and roomy. The front desk service was great. The check out was great. Meet the owner who was courteous. The hotel recommended Schrooners Seafood restaurant which was literally down the street. It was definitely worth the wait. The park was literally a few minutes away. The atmosphere was great. I would stay again if in the area.
