Travelodge by Wyndham Knoxville West

First off the good news. There were no bugs. Now for the rest of the story. We stopped off at this hotel for a 1 night stay on our way for Florida from Ohio. The signage outside is a LaQuinta, it’s shown as a Travelodge, appears on the credit card as a Country Inn and Suites and had a choice hotels laundry bag in the room. So I literally have no clue where we actually stayed, but the first room we were given was already slept in and not serviced, so we went to another room that was about 40 degrees in the room and never warmed above 60. The sheets were ripped, the shower was nasty and there was mold everywhere in the bathroom. Also, no breakfast and no mention of any other amenities. So in closing, stay away from this one. Plenty more nicer properties at this exit.

This was the worst experience as to staying at Wyndham change of Hotels. The hotel is undergoing remodeling and this is a MAJOR accident waiting to happen with all the material lying on the ground in front of the Hotel in the parking lot. The room had Flying Bugs, the bathroom wasn't clean, and the Manager didn't give not a Damn as to my concerns, but implied as if it was my issue and offer a 10% discounted over night stay. The hotel didn't look like anything as advertised online ..... SCAMMED !!! Beware

Positive: "" Negative: This property is under construction and could easily be the worse hotel I have ever stayed in my 35 years of business travel. From noone in the lobby, non working lights, no sheets on the bed and a leaking toilet that ran down 3 floors. Horrible.

I reserved a room at this hotel before I began my travels from the Washington, DC, metro area. If I had seen the hotel beforehand, then I would not have stayed there on Dec 8, 2025. This hotel has three names on it: Country Inn and Suites, Travelodge by Wyndham, and La Quinta. (The elevated sign beside the building has the first two names on it, and the third name is on the building itself above the entrance.) That's why I had a hard time finding it. I arrived at night. There were only three other vehicles in the parking lot, and the hotel building looked dark and eerie. This place is under HEAVY CONSTRUCTION. No lobby furnishings. This hotel should not be functional mainly because it is still under major construction. None of the amenities/lobby/pool pictures are accurate. The only thing they have is a front desk and one person running it. Secondly the first room I was in had stink bugs on the beds. I went downstairs and spoke to the desk clerk to switch rooms. He said “oh those are just the common stink bug. You just pick them up with a paper towel and flush them down the toilet.” I requested HE go handle that and move me to a different room which he finally did. Unfortunately the second room had easily 8 more stink bugs half of which had obviously been there a while and were dead. I quickly checked out and left.
