TownePlace Suites by Marriott Pittsburgh Harmarville

I stayed here for four nights but you’d be equally as comfortable for many more, since it’s a real cosy home away from home. The staff are brilliant and really helpful and welcoming at all times of the day and while the lobby area isn’t necessarily the cosiest of spaces there’s quite a social vibe even late at night. My room was on the top floor with great views over the nearby hills and was a fantastic space. It was so spacious with plenty of storage. Being a suite it had all the kitchenette facilities you could ask for - hob, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher, as well as cutlery, crockery, proper knives etc; I can’t imagine anything would be lacking if you wanted to prepare food there on multiple nights. Clean rooms, comfortable stay and homey feel. We stayed for one night as a stopover on a road trip. Very pleasantly surprised by a hotel off the turnpike. An abundance of food and coffee options within walking or short drive. The free breakfast was actually decent. Great value and brand.

Positive: Location, front desk staff Negative: There was not hot water for shower

Size of rooms were nice. Only complaint is location of the TV's. And why is there no shower door? The shower heads are bad too. Other than staff kept the room clean and were friendly. Floor 3 though stunk pretty bad. I don't know if someone was cooking something or if that was just the floor itself. For like 3 nights it stunk horribly bad. Overall I'd say it was 3/5. Mediocre at best.

The staff is extremely professional and friendly. Tara/Director of Operations is the best since she makes sure one's stay is as perfect and as comfortable as it can be. Thank you for making the visit a welcoming one, especially for our househunting trip.
