Very clean and well-maintained hotel. The room had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and most of them spoke Spanish, which was a plus. The hotel is conveniently located near a subway station on the M (orange) line, making it easy to get around the city. While the surrounding area felt a bit uncomfortable at times, we did not experience any unsafe situations. Overall, a pleasant stay and a good option for New York.

I only stayed here a night but I thought it was a nice spot. The room was great and had everything I needed and was clean. It's a bit of a journey from the subway but is located down a quiet side-street. During my visit, the main lobby doors were closed so you had to enter through a smaller side-door. Breakfast was downstairs and buffet-style with a pretty decent selection. It was VERY crowded by the time I got down there though. It's a short walk to get out to some great city views along the river and lots of food options.

I recently stayed here for 5 nights. Overall, it was an okay stay with some positives, but also a few drawbacks. Pros: The room was spacious and had all the basic amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Everything essential was available, which made it convenient, especially for a longer stay. The walk to the subway is also fairly short, which helps with getting around the city. Cons: Housekeeping was a disappointment. Cleaning was done only once during my 5-night stay, and that too after I requested it twice. The location is another downside although close to public transport, the hotel is in an industrial-looking area and the neighborhood didn’t feel very safe, especially at night. There is also construction right next to the property, so mornings were quite noisy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in NYC Queens. TownePlace Suites were roomy, clean and quiet with lots of natural light and very comfortable beds. The bathroom was large and spa like. Loved the small kitchen. The atmosphere was serene with helpful and friendly staff. The included breakfast was well done and varied each day. We could walk to many places and subway fairly close. Uber there in minutes. The rooftop area was inviting with a great view of Manhattan at all times of the day. We have family in Queens so this was a perfect spot to return to at the end of the day. We will be definitely come back. It was also a great value.

Positive: Nice hotel, convenient to subway, and wonderful breakfast. Negative: The only downside is that the 4 block walk from the subway to the hotel is sketchy at night, with dudes hanging out on corners and in cars with open doors. We were never hassled, and there were foot patrol police there, but it was still uncomfortable.
