TownePlace Suites by Marriott Lakeland

Not sure why it’s a 3 star but compared to a nearby well known hotel, this one was much better. The hotel renovation was a plus! We were on the first floor. Hallways were clean, our room and Kitchenette were clean. The continental breakfast is what one would expect. Still satisfying especially the waffles. It is well equipped. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The guest laundry was excellent too! We are here to visit with our kids for Xmas and new year for a week. We would definitely stay here again. This hotel made our stay very comfortable.

I’m a Marriott Silver Elite member, and I have never experienced service this poor at any Marriott property. My reservation was mishandled: I was charged for the wrong night, and no room was available for the night I actually booked. When staff checked their system, they claimed “reservations” had changed my date when in reality, the “change” they are referencing is actually a charge reflecting a no-show error on their part. The staff’s behavior was unprofessional and hostile. My young daughter even asked, “Why is that lady yelling at Mommy?” I was promised a manager call the next day, but the assistant manager I spoke with also tried to blame me and said the general manager would contact me. Seven days later, I still haven’t heard from anyone. I filed a complaint with Marriott, and they

Stayed for one night. This hotel has the convenience for Tesla charging so meanwhile we stayed here we charged our car 👍🏻 Love the spacious of our room, with mini kitchen and full size of fridge. Breakfast included but I can’t enjoy the complimentary breakfast. I brought my own bagel, toast them but at the time they didn’t have butter, that was a bummer so I had to use cream cheese instead.

My stay wasn’t bad, but it didn’t fully meet the level of quality I usually expect from Marriott. The hotel is comfortable and functional, with the basics you need for a short stay, but a few areas could definitely be improved. The room was clean and the staff were friendly, but the overall quality, both in finishes and amenities, felt a bit below Marriott’s usual standards. With a few upgrades and better attention to detail, this location could easily offer a much stronger experience. Not a bad stay, just not as polished as it should be for a Marriott brand.
