Colt Creek State Park Campground

My absolute favorite Florida State Park. I’ve stayed here in my RV for work travels and just to relax. Nice size clean rv spots, quiet relaxing atmosphere to just simply relax, beautiful walking trails and very respectful staff. If you are looking for a place to get away from the normal hustle of live this place is it. Cell service is very scarce so if that’s important have a cell booster. I personally enjoyed staying at this place to avoid calls and truly unplug from life and just relax and enjoy Mother Nature. There is a very nice clean bath house in easy walking distance from the sites. The sites I have been at had power and water but no sewer although there is a dump station very close, so I advise having a portable sewer tank if you plan on staying for more then a few days or don’t pl

This is a lovely, well-maintained campground where we enjoyed our stay. The facilities were great, and the setting was beautiful. However, we have a significant safety concern that impacted our experience. The clearly posted speed limit is 10 mph (might even be 5 mph), but it was almost universally ignored. Most vehicles drove through the campground loops at what felt like 20+ mph. As a family traveling with a toddler who loves to explore around our campsite, this was more than just an annoyance, it felt a bit unsafe. But overall a positive experience!

Another great state park, only 30 minutes from where I live. Very friendly staff at the front. Plenty of hiking and biking trails. Very nice Campground area, was totally surprised. will be returning often

We really enjoy camping at Colt Creek State Park Campground. We've stayed at both sites 11 and 25. It's a quiet, small campground with level, clean sites. Some sites have a bit more privacy than others. If you'd like to see a video tour of the campground visit Youtube @MapleCamps, where we posted a video tour of each campsite. Colt Creek has quite a few walking, cycling and equestrial trails throughout the park. We even saw some goats out for a stroll with their owners! About two years ago they had canoes and kayaks for rent at the pond, but this year they had neither boat rentals, nor even firewood for sale.
