TownePlace Suites by Marriott Lafayette South

I ended up moving hotels because I was not impressed at all with this hotel. There was a different musty smell in the main lobby, the elevator, and the room that was unpleasant. The hotel was dirty everywhere. The floors weren’t clean, the carpets in the elevator and hallways were not vacuumed, attention to detail was not there. My room did not have soap. It looks like the handy man that was hired had no idea what he was doing (ex. Paint drops on floor, fixtures painted over, bathtub dirty, etc). When I checked in the woman did not acknowledge my existence…did not say hi or anything. I greeted her and said “hello…how are you doing?” And she blew me off….I then said “I’ll take that as good” and once I called her out she acknowledged me. Overall my experience was poor and I wouldn’t stay at

The furniture was “well used” floors were nasty. Not worth the $391 to stay two nights. The evening front desk staff was very rude and non accomodating. The morning staff was very nice, including the lady working the breakfast. Breakfast was limited but ok. Coffee was good.

I stayed here for the holidays and the customer service was AMAZING. Housekeeping was very nice and very good at cleaning our rooms. The suites were business classy and very clean for only $100 a night. Way better than the hotels I usually stay in when I travel to Louisiana. 5/5 Definitely recommend!!!

Positive: Bathroom was clean Negative: Bed was cheap and bedding also cheap. Terrible pillows.

The room is nice and the location was strategic. Most of the staff showed great hospitality and offered excellent service. However, there was one lady who shouted at me with a bad attitude when I was simply asking for a confirmation. I hope the management can look into this matter and provide proper training, as it would ensure that every guest consistently experiences the same warm and professional service that the majority of the staff alrdy demonstrate
