TownePlace Suites by Marriott Hays

We stayed here one night on our way to Denver and have visited here several times. Front desk staff can be hit or miss here. We've had both nice and not-so-nice staff. We were lucky this time and had one of the nicer ones which makes a difference after a long day of travel. Our queen suite is just enough room for the three of us. Rooms are a decent size and we appreciate having a kitchen with a full-size refrigerator. Suite was very clean however two out of the three shower product dispensers were empty which we did not realize until one of was already in the shower. Fortunately, we had packed our own items as a backup so we did not call housekeeping to refill that night. One addition that would be appreciated would be a luggage rack so that we don't have to put our bags on the flo

Our room was nice, although I wish they would put bath mats in and around their showers. I was very worried about slipping, everything was so slick. Had to use towels on the tile floor. I also thought their breakfast fare was a little chintzy. You didn't get much of anything. This motel is in a very good location, though -- right off the highway. The night-clerk man at the front desk was nice, too.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. There was no information in the room about how to connect with the wireless service. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. The lobby was clean. The breakfast on the day we were there was not up to the Marriott standard. Selection was poor. Food was did not taste good plus it was cold. This may have been the exception but we were not impressed. Other than the breakfast we enjoyed our stay.

Platinum here (recently expired titanium). Called the hotel to enquire about our golden retriever. No pets over 35lbs. Understandable even with the fee but the lady on the phone was pretty cold in tone. Glad I called ahead.

I have an 11 year old yellow lab who has been my ESA animal for the last 9 years to help me with my anxiety. My husband and I are currently driving across the country and despite other Mariott’s being accommodating with no issue, this location did not allow for me to say. I kindly tried to express to the manager on duty today the legitimacy of my need to have my dog with me, that we keep our rooms in pristine condition, etc. And she was not accommodating - making me feel like my mental health needs were not taken seriously. I’ve never experienced this before and am so extremely upset and disappointed and do not recommend this Marriott location. I would leave zero stars if allowed.
