Sleep Inn & Suites Hays I-70

Hotel room was very clean and spacious. The bottom of the tub was slick and needs some non slip pads. It also would've been nice to have shower gel available. Breakfast area was small, but decent selection. Needed more counter space in the bathroom but we were in a handicapped room so that could've been the reason. Quiet and safe hotel and I would stay here again. We didn't have any major issues. Desk clerk was very friendly and helpful at check in.

I want to start by saying that the rooms really need to be updated. The only thing that appeared new was the TV, but even that was difficult to use. The remote was not user-friendly, and it took us almost ten minutes just to figure it out. There were also no pictures or décor in the room, which made it feel less comfortable and inviting. We booked a king-size bed, and the side I slept on sank in noticeably. I weigh 140 lbs and could still feel how worn out that side of the mattress was. The other side, where my spouse slept, was much firmer. This made it clear that the mattress is very old and needs to be replaced. The mirror was placed directly across from the bathroom. Whenever someone turned on the bathroom light, it reflected through the mirror and shined directly into the other person

Was very clean. Bed was good. Toilet ran for awhile after we flushed it & heater was quite load. We got there at 9p & left at 8:30 the next day & thought it was fine.

The bedroom was super nice, super clean. The check in was easy and the guy manning the reception desk was very helpful and pleasant. He came Up To our room to help us figure out the TV! That’s what I call Service. I used the pool- so clean- and the water temp was great For working out. Breakfast was yummy!!! Love the potatoes and peppers, eggs, bacon, and choices of waffles or toast or muffins. Nice! Parking was close to the entrance- no matter where you parked!

The beds were comfortable as was the HVAC. Breakfast was decent. The young man at the front desk the night we checked in was exceptional. When we checked in we told the front desk attendant we had a Canine Companions puppy with us. She is a registered future service dog in training and he happily and rightfully did not charge us for having a pet. But the next morning the manager on duty berated me for sneaking a pet into the hotel and said he didn't like to be lied to. When I told him about our check-in the night before he immediately changed his tune. I guess he didn't look at the records, but he sure jumped the gun and took it out on me. That was the only poor experience during our stay.
