TownePlace Suites by Marriott Columbia Northwest/Harbison

The hotel rooms and facility were great and the location in Columbia was good for our stay. Most importantly, the staff made our stay exceptional! A special shout out to Tatyana, Camila, Kisha and Khyiasia who always greeted us with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed. Questions and requests were pleasantly answered and met consistently. We will 100% book our next stay here. Thank you for making our stay a home away from home.

I really wanted to like this hotel. The front desk staff, especially Shelly and Camila, were kind and helpful. The hotel had been recently renovated, so the beds and furniture were very comfortable. However, even after being placed in a “quiet room” on the top floor, away from elevators, the road noise kept me awake (even wearing ear plugs and using a noise maker). ||Housekeeping left a lot to be desired. The coffee maker in room was filthy. I used four Lysol wipes cleaning sticky grime off the top of it. The shower drain clearly has not been cleaned in some time. It had black mold or mildew growing around the edges. There was a strange smell in the room when we entered. I got room 122, it was kinda old with drawers being loose and open, scratches, missing paint. But overall, the room is very clean. It has fullsize frigde, fully equipped kitchen with dishware, cutlery, pot, pan, even dishsoap, all the thing needed for cooking. Compliment breakfast offers variety of food. The location is quiet and next to a big hibachi, sushi restaurant, so convenience. Good value for your money. Recommend!

Positive: Bathroom shower, kitchen, pillows, cleanliness Negative: Breakfast, oatmeal empty well before time for breakfast ended. Counters were a little sloppy.

Not sure if I’ve ever written a 1-star review but now I have to. 😐 I was looking at the good reviews and 9.0 on hotels.com, so I thought it’d be a great place to stay at. Not quite. Our room smelled insanely bad when we walked in. We figured later that the smell must’ve come from something toxic/ poison for bugs. Then we found possible bedbugs and it was enough for us to go see the front desk. The young woman (dark curly hair) at the desk wasn’t surprised about the bugs, didn’t ask to see the room or my pictures. She just said that she can’t do anything and that there are no other rooms available at all. Kept repeating this and told us to go to another place. We went back to the room to think and I wanted to check the room situation from hotels.com again, and to my surprise, it showed 6 av
