Town & Beach Motel

We stayed here before the ferry ride to MV. The motel is an older motel that is locally owned and has been well taken care of so don't be afraid to stay here. It's not luxury but it is clean and economical. The owner is very nice and made us feel welcome. It is within walking distance to restaurants and shops. There is no breakfast provided but options are close.

Stay somewhere else. The first room they put us in was freezing and there was a layer of black dirt/dust all over the entire bathroom. They shared this was because the bathroom window was left open. There is no thermostat in the room, and it was 50 degrees. When we asked, the first staff told us there was no heat and the sun would warm the room. We were switched to a new room which was warmer and certainly cleaner. The rooms are VERY dated. This room had stains on the ceiling, and the bathroom floor was warped so when you tried to close the door it made a ton of noise. They do have heat, but it's controlled externally and turns on when outside reaches a certain temperature. During the night we got quite hot and ended up turning the window air conditioner on. What a lovely place to stay for a quick overnight friend trip to the Cape! The property and room was clean and the flowers are beautiful. It is a little dated but that is part of the charm. You can tell that the property was THE place to be back in the day. The bed was super comfortable and was exactly what we needed for an escape from Boston. The staff were helpful and very attentive. The location was perfect for strolling down Main and access to cute shops and restaurants. The beach is not too far a walk although driving to it is best.

My friends and I came down to the cape for the weekend and stayed at this adorable spot! It is in a great location—walkable to the beach, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Virginia, the owner, could not have been more welcoming! She offered us plenty of recommendations of places to go during our stay. She even lent us adorable beach towels for our trip to the beach. The rooms are clean, cozy and kept surprisingly cool in the summer heat! Beautiful flowers planted outside the rooms as well. I can’t recommend this place enough, will definitely be back!
