The Coonamessett

As a long time beloved local establishment in my town, the Cooney had a great restaurant attached to it called Eli’sTavern-well, two days ago out of nowhere. They told everyone they were closing and did not honor people’s gift certificates for refunds that they sold them recently.|Well, Staff all walked out after that(I don’t blame them)|Buyer beware it used to be a beautiful property, but this new company has not done well with it ,unfortunately. ||Beware if you are staying here, there is no bar or lounge any longer.|Also, if you want to have a function, there’s plenty of other function spaces in Falmouth

The Coonamessett is a great option for dog-friendly hotel rooms or medium-to-large event spaces. We rented the Double Queen Suite for a weekend for our bride and groom’s suite, as it was extremely well-lit and spacious enough for my eight groomsmen to get ready with me. It was a little surprising that a room with such a large common space would have two queen beds instead of a king bed, though. The staff, including housekeeping, did a great job making us feel like guests of honor all weekend long, with a bride and groom welcome setup and several refreshes of the room while we were away. We absolutely loved our stay here!!! The inn was so charming and clean. The continental breakfast each morning was delicious and kept us full for hours. Much more than your standard continental! Nancy, who worked at the hotel breakfast was lovely and kept putting out extra food for us, specifically the chocolate croissants! She made sure we enjoyed our meal and went above and beyond to check in. The bar and restaurant area of the hotel was adorable, although we never made it to eat there. But we will be back so we’re looking forward to eating there next time we come! The only downside was the air conditioning in the room could use an upgrade. The location was solid, it was a five minute drive to everything, but not super walkable to downtown if that’s something the guest is looking for.

Our lovely winter get away place. We've been on several multi night stays here at The Coonamessett. We have stayed in a king room, a king suite and this time, a queen suite. All were clean and comfortable. Desk staff are friendly and very helpful. We will be back!
