Tivo's Place Restaurant

If you’re a fajita lover, you may want to think twice about walking thru Nerada and Tivo’s door—-because once you’ve had their’s, no other fajita on the planet will do. And for that matter, this is THE place in the Big Bend region for authentic, prepared-with-skill-and-care real deal Mexican food. The guacamole is excellent and if you order iced tea, it comes in one of those tall vintage metal cups like Grandma used to have. Heck, I’d dine there for that alone. These folks REALLY care about the food they place in front of you. Out of all the restaurant choices between Lajitas, Terlingua and Study Butte, we dined there 4 times in 11 days—that oughta tell you somthing. Phenomenal food! My family of four came on a Sunday night right after Christmas. It was incredibly busy, so there was a bit of a wait for a table and for our meal but it was well worth it! From the Queso, to the Mexican plates and Flautas. It was all delicious. And the ladies working the front were doing a great job turning tables in the rush.

The Mexican Plate was delicious. Freshly prepared and very flavorful. The chile relleno (stuffed pepper) in the dish was one of the best I’ve ever had with a nice spice. Food came out in about 15 minutes. I would pass on the Horchata, it’s alright. Restaurant ambiance was nice and the hostess/server was very friendly even with me coming in an hour before closing. She provided fast service and good recommendations. Would come back and recommend others to give this place a try.

Food was delicious! Authentic 💯 Service was fast! Horchata was delicious :)! Restrooms were super clean too.
