Big Bend Casitas at Far Flung Outdoor Center

Stayed for 4 nights during Thanksgiving break for our trip to Big Bend National Park. Convenient location, less than 10 minute drive to the park, restaurants and market place/gas stations. Cabins were spacious and very modern looking. Two casitas had more than enough space for our party of 7. Bathrooms also very spacious with rainfall showers. Very generous with coffee and creamer provided in the cabin, along with a microwave, fridge, and toaster which came in handy during our stay. Daily housekeeping and fresh towels. Huge common area for kids to run around and a fire pit we used for s'mores. Too cold to use the pool, but it looked clean. Also had a cute little grilling area that we used on our last night, and grilling tools, bowls, plates, cutlery available in the casita. Cute little

We enjoyed everything about this place. We arrived after hours, but, as promised, our check-in details were ready for us. Our casita, #23, was apparently one of the newer ones. It was really, really nice. I would call it upscale rustic. We only stayed one night, but will be back.This was just an introductory trip to Big Bend. We hiked to Lost Mine Peak! Next time, we'll stay at Big Bend Casitas longer, and take a half day river trip with Far Flung Outdoor Center. Our trip was too short to check out the pool, hot tub, fire pit, or coffee shop, but we did get some swag from the office/gift shop at the front of the property- a shirt, two mugs and a sticker for our car! Speaking of, we appreciate the EV charger on site.

Great spot in Terlingua with easy access to BBNP and BBSP close by. Room was cozy and fine, kitchenette with mini fridge, coffee pot, microwave, and dishes/utensils if you are staying multiple days and cooking out. Out door games and a great outdoor cooking station with Blackstone cooktop, grill, and ice machines. Bocce ball, horse shoes, bean bag toss, huge gas fire pit w/12 Adirondack chairs, pool and hot tub. The only drawback is the Caritas are right off the hwy. So there is some road noise, but not bad. Most of the places down there are right off the hwy.

I stayed at the Far Flung casitas with a hiking group. This was a great place to stay and I enjoyed my casita. I had lots of space plus a kitchenette. We used the lodge for meals, which worked very well. I highly recommend star gazing from the hot tub and the walk-up coffee shop.

The staff of this establishment is over the top especially Mariana! The level of service is superb, very detail and genuinely love her work and helping customers, I must have troubled her 5 times or more, back and forth about the reservation of the Jeep rental and all the details of picking up and dropping off, she was above and beyond her call of duty to help me and secure the rental for me while I was on the road with limited reception, she opt to call me back while she's off the clock, I mean this commitment shows a lot about the staff and the company overall, I had another reservation made prior with another stay and traveling solo, did not book here and too late to change but I will definitely come back to look for Mariana myself with my folks next time in Terlingua and Big Bend, peo
