Camp Elena

This was a phenomenal last minute find! The tent was so luxurious and I wish we would've stayed more than one night! The bathroom was modern and so comfortable. The domes with the shared bathrooms make this place so much cozier! The deck has great views of the stars and are all facing away from each other for privacy. The mini kitchen had a great fridge and freezer, along with real coffee beans and grinder, no silly K-cups. Would 10/10 recommend staying here, only 10 minutes from downtown Terlingua and not far from the National Park.

Camp Elena is an awesome way to experience the Chihuahuan Desert and Big Bend National Park. It is a luxury refuge in the middle of the desert that will allow you to relax and reset in such beautiful circumstances. No detail has been left to chance.|| The “tents” are absolutely amazing, with great views, fully climate controlled, a deck equipped with a propane grill and a high-powered telescope to enjoy the night sky. All the lighting is dimmable, so you can enjoy the dark skies. Camp Elena is an absolutely gorgeous place. High quality everything--decor, furnishings, cleanliness, 100% cotton bedding, robes, towels, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, kitchen items. We sat on the porch and watched the sunset every evening and best of all we could view the sunrise right from the king sized bed. Very glamorous glamping. Quiet, beautiful, and high quality. Again, absolutely gorgeous!

Camp Elena is very special! A wonderful retreat with just enough amenities! The bed and the shower were perfect. The kitchenette was just enough and efficient. (Coffee provided--thank you!!) the deck gave us a perfect private outdoor space to soak in the expansive views. We slept so well! The only reason we didnt give five stars for location is bc it requires quite a bit of patience and a really good 4wd car to get back at night after dinner. But for us that is also the charm and the reward is peaceful & quiet nights. We highly recommend Elena for the Big Bend experience.

We absolutely love staying at Camp Elena, we just stayed for the second time. It is so peaceful and comfortable. The rooms are very clean and the coffee setup is excellent. We used the grill and fire pit and did lots of stargazing, it’s so dark out there! Both times we’ve visited we’ve stayed at other places in the area for the second half of our trip, which ranged from okay to the worst stay of all time. We ended up wishing we stayed at reliable, consistent camp Elena the whole time! Next time we will be staying at camp Elena the whole trip :)
