Space Cowboys

Pod 003 was great! There is plenty of space for a whole family or a group of friends. My husband and I slept in the upper bedroom. Bed was very comfortable and the temperature inside was perfect. Everything you need in the kitchen. They provide a coffee maker along with coffee! Nice hot water shower. As far as the grounds, there are nice trails to the top of the hill. We watched the sun set from up there which was nice. They have multiple spots to sit and a couple fire pits. We had a wonderful stay! The one thing I regret is not being able to taste the highly rated food from their food truck that’s located in town.

What a great and fun place!! We love trying out unique places to stay and this one was a gem. We stayed in Pod #9, at the very top of the hill. We were a good distance away from other pods, yet very close to the upper restrooms/showers. The attention to detail here is stunning. Everywhere you look there is a little something to capture your imagination. Little green men, murals, space themed items, etc. A bonus was the hiking area at the top of the mountain. There you'll find swings, benches, fire rings, and incredible views. At night you can open the huge curtains for a fantastic view of the starry night sky. Our stay at Space Cowboys was absolutely unforgettable. The pod was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully designed, with incredible desert views and some of the best night skies we’ve ever seen. Everything was thoughtfully prepared — from the easy check-in process to the amenities inside the unit, which had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location is perfect for exploring the Big Bend/Terlingua area while still feeling private and peaceful. The hosts were responsive, friendly, and made sure we felt welcome from start to finish. If you’re looking for a unique desert experience with comfort, privacy, and amazing stargazing, Space Cowboys is the place. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

They were incredibly welcoming and very communicative. They gave us great food recommendations and shared some cool ideas for things to do in Terlingua and Big Bend. The owners are incredibly amazing. Super friendly. The ATv was a great accommodation.

If I could give less than one star I would. This place is terrible. They do not have en suite. It’s an outhouse. My wife and I scheduled a stay using Booking.com and the reservation said that the accommodations include a private bathroom but beware it does not have a private bathroom you share a community shower and washroom. The owner acted very friendly when my wife said oh no we can’t stay here and he promised he would refund the money. The problem is he was not truthful, and the reservations were made through Booking.com. Booking.com sucks as well. They do not help to resolve problems. They just want to take your money, stay as far away from this place!!! You’re better off sleeping in the car. And be sure you use your credit card when dealing with Booking.com!!!!
