The Winwood Condos

The Winwood Condos and The Outpost are operated through/in relation with the Windham Mountain Resort. Both are at the same physical location with The Outpost featuring recently renovated but smaller (normal) rooms, whereas the Condos offer a kitchenette and generally more square footage in the available suites. While the fit/finish of the Condos is a bit dated, they are clean and well kept overall. My personal preference is a two bedroom suite at the condos, as I prefer to have room to spread out and enjoy chilling after a hearty day on the slopes. As a result of the Windham Mountain Resort relationship, guests have guaranteed admission lift tickets, at a reduced price on busy weekends. The best part is how walkable the Winwood condo's are to downtown vs. any of the other lodging in Windham. You can walk to Millrock, Windham Local, The Tipp, and the Windham Path. There's also a store with anything you could ever need (Hickory Hill Market) right next door. I forgot my toothbrush so this came in handy! We stayed in a 1 bedroom condo. The room was very clean and we felt safe (& cozy!). Will be booking again!

The weekend was wonderful. For three of us the one bedroom room was a good size. The room was newly renovated, and had all the amenities including a microwave, stove and fridge. There was a pull out full size couch which proved to be very comfortable for sleeping. The bed was very comfortable as well. There are flat screen TV's in both rooms. Room had good soundproofing. We couldn't hear other guests' TV, phone, etc. | Housekeeping did a great job. I usually find something amiss but not this time. | Our room had a balcony which looked out onto Windham mountain. I booked my condo through the Windham website which showed the special deal of buy two nights get one free which was super nice! They also have discounted lift tickets - $130pp on the weekends and $60 pp during the week, which saves you a lot of money versus getting them directly on Windhams website. The rooms are a typical mountain house stay. We chose to upgrade to the condo to have a kitchen area. The balcony was a nice surprise! The only downside is when you first check in, the room is extremely freezing. House keeping doesn’t leave the heat on. Also the main heat vent was slow and felt weak, but we noticed there was a manually heater that we can turn on that was on the wall near the kitchen. The hotel and our room looked nice. We asked for a room with a tub and got a handicap accessible shower instead. The bed was uncomfortable but we were tired. In the morning, we turned on the shower and couldn't get hot water. All of sudden this horrific smell enveloped the bathroom and out into the room. We went to the front desk and I could now smell the same odor in the lobby that was in the bathroom. I told them about the smell and no hot water. The front desk attendant makes a call to the maintenance man to go to our room only about the cold water and never offered to tell me about the water quality. I met him at the room and he said the the shower handle was installed incorrectly. I asked him about the smell and he said that the village has a high sulfur content in the water. That sm
