Albergo Allegria Hotel

We had a truly wonderful experience. We arrived very late at night without a reservation after an issue with our Airbnb, and we were welcomed with incredible kindness and flexibility. The hotel is charming, clean, and beautifully maintained, with a warm and cozy atmosphere. In the morning, they serve excellent coffee, which we really appreciated. The location is stunning, very close to the ski slopes in Windham and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The owners clearly care about what they do and go above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable. We will definitely come back every time we are in the area.

The personal service is top notch! We loved the detail to attention and the antiques in the place were fun to view. We came at a quiet time so they upgraded our room and we felt like we had the place to ourselves. The food was delicious too. We enjoyed breakfast. It's a perfect location for our hikes to the blackhead mountain range and Windham high peak.

Our stay at Albergo Allegria was truly unforgettable. After a very stressful situation with another accommodation late at night, during a snowstorm, this was the only hotel that opened its doors to us and immediately helped us with two rooms, despite the very late hour. Albergo Allegria is one of the most magical places I have ever had the good fortune to experience. I've been a guest multiple times and each visit is indelibly memorable. There are a thousand charming B&Bs, but they do not have Lesli and Maryanna at the helm. There is a warmth and genuineness that these hosts possess that extends to all their staff. It leads to an immediate sense of gracious welcome that enhances a physical space that is exceptionally beautiful, comfortable, individual and altogether unique. Breakfast is homemade with care and attention and the personalized recipes are delicious beyond measure. The nightly experience around the roaring firepit is especially magical. The grounds are spacious. This place is a gift of grace to anyone lucky enough to stay here.

I love this place. My boyfriend and I found it earlier this year in March of 2025. We stayed at an Airbnb and when we had to check out, we weren’t ready to go home. We decided to just drive around checking out options when someone at a little motel told us to check Albergo (because we had our dog and most places weren’t pet friendly). We drove over to Albergo and met Leslie who owns it with his wife Marianna. Marianna is the chef, and Leslie handles the front desk. He explained that the “carriage house” have the only rooms that are pet friendly. The rooms in the main historic house are not pet friendly. He let us choose between two rooms in the carriage house.
