The Westin Pittsburgh

I stayed at the Westin in September and October this year. On my first stay, the room clean, but the safe had been left open in the locked position and the bathroom sink was slow to drain. My first morning the toilet overflowed. Maintenance quickly responded and took care of all three problems. My second visit I couldn't get the door open. Once more prompt assistance, the problem mine, there was a need to grab the handle in the middle and push. Check in staff pleasant and efficient. The room clean. On my second stay the coffee tray had no tea or sugar or creamer. The bathroom well stocked with towels and toiletries, there is a drying line in the tub, hairdryer, makeup mirror. Positive: The hostel staff greeting us was super nice. He was asking why we were staying and we told him it was our 14th wedding anniversary. He upgraded our room which was going above and beyond!! Negative: ""

Rooms were fine. Stains on the curtains and our duvet cover didnt zip up. Other than that hotel was nice. Lobby elevators were really backed when all the volleyball tournys were done. But kinda expected that. Great location.

My stay at The Westin Pittsburgh (February 6–8, 2026) ended with what I consider a serious guest safety failure. On February 8, between approximately 3:30–4:00 PM, I was intentionally shoulder-checked in the lobby by an adult male who security later confirmed was not a registered guest. When I turned, he issued explicit threats of physical violence — in front of my young son — and continued for several minutes, even directing remarks toward my child. I did not escalate the situation. However, instead of immediately addressing the aggressor, a staff member instructed me to “keep walking.” The individual making threats remained on property. Security later stated they responded within seconds of becoming aware, but the timeline of awareness has never been clarified. After formal escalation

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. Very clean, friendly staff and the gym is wonderful. The bar and Grill in the lobby is very good and open late. The standard rooms are basic but everything else is high quality.
