The Watershed

Thais and Nia were absolutely incredible and truly went above and beyond for us. We unexpectedly lost our proposal space at the very last minute, and during an extremely stressful situation, they were so gracious and accommodating. They allowed us to use the hotel lobby and helped us pull everything together when we were completely scrambling. Their kindness, flexibility, and genuine willingness to help made all the difference, and they supported us the entire time. The Watershed Hotel itself was amazing as well. The accommodations were wonderful, and the atmosphere was perfect for such a special moment. We are incredibly grateful for the support we received and cannot recommend this hotel enough.

My husband and I stayed here recently during the snowstorm, and unfortunately our experience was disappointing. When we arrived, the parking lot and driveway were a complete mess. Given the severity of the storm, we expected the property to at least make an effort to clear or maintain safe parking accommodations for guests, but that clearly wasn’t a priority. The initial staff members we encountered were unprofessional, loud, and distracted. They appeared more interested in socializing and playing games than tending to guests during the very stressful weather situation. The lobby felt like their personal hangout space, which made it uncomfortable to even approach the desk for assistance. Booked this hotel as I was in town attending a concert at Ridgefield Playhouse (a short drive away)....also visited the Glass House in nearby New Canaan.||Rooms were clean. Beds and the many pillows were comfortable. Bathroom and shower were good....hot water and good pressure. TV in room was huge and great quality. Fridge was not.....plenty of storage and small desk for use if needed. I opted with room facing road to avoid train "noise"....the rooms facing the small creek, while a nice view, encounter trains passing every 20 minutes or so.....front desk said this starts around 7am and goes to around 11:30pm....just a heads up. Can't remember where I saw but someone mentioned something about the connecting room door and how that felt "unsafe" but I feel those same doors are in 95% of

The hotel is sharp and nicely decorated, with a big, inviting lobby that makes a good first impression. The staff were incredibly friendly — and impressively unflappable when dealing with some high-maintenance guests which I saw. The room and pillows were comfortable. The walls are a bit on the thin side, but thankfully it never got loud enough to ruin the peace. Consider free breakfast or coffee?
