The Squibb Houses

Our stay in the Gothic room of the main house was disappointing. The room felt dingy, shabby, and ill-maintained. Every toilet flush was accompanied by a high pitched shrieking (the plumbing?) that lingered for at least a minute, which made middle of the night flushing irritating. Rugs in the room were worn and shabby looking. (see photo) The soap bar crumbled the moment the package was opened. (see photo) One of the bath towels was threadbare and bedraggled. (see photo) The shower soap dish was held together with duct tape. (see photo) An unpleasant, faux floral cleaning-solvent odor permeated the room and the building. It's a Victorian house so I understand the paucity of electric outlets, but at least one of those all-purpose plugs in the most accessible area would've helped. For the pr

We stayed two nights in the Cherry room at the Black Barn and loved this B and B. Our room was on the ground floor and included a small patio overlooking the back yard. The bed felt slightly soft but was very comfortable for sleeping. A small fake fireplace was our only heat and kept the room nice and warm. The room was a good size and had a large bathroom area.|| Breakfast was served in the Black Barn and was excellent. We had homemade egg dishes (plus lots of extras) each day. ||The living room had a large rock fireplace, comfy sofa, and chairs. I loved relaxing in a chair near the fireplace each evening.

Had an amazing stay at this BB. Our room was sweet and cozy, created a pleasant atmosphere to connect with my friends. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and we enjoyed speaking with the staff. It is in a great location surrounded by shops/cafes/restaurants. Will definitely be coming back.

Little paradise in Cambria - if you get the chance, stay here. A lovely place with very friendly hosts. The building is from 1877, beautifully renovated with much attention to detail. Stayed at the Parlor Room - very quiet, comfortable, cozy and clean and with beautiful furniture. Breakfast was amazing: a diverse warm and cold buffet with fresh berries, eggs, several bread and jam options, honey and good coffee. Thank you for the good rest!

We stumbled upon this hidden gem. What a fabulous experience at the Squibb House. We stayed in the Black Barn in the Maple Room and it did not disappoint. The breakfast in the morning was delightful. We noticed they use a lot of organic products. That’s important to us so we were very happy. Everything about our stay was wonderful and we will definitely return!
