The Rigdon House

My fiancé and I made a getaway to Cambria from Los Angeles, and our stay at The Rigdon House was lovely. Our room was spacious and charming, with cozy fireplaces in each room. Our room featured a full-wall nature view with cows visible in the distance, which we enjoyed very much. The bar with live music was an exciting surprise, and we enjoyed the house wine while playing board games waiting for our dinner reservation at Robin’s right across the street. A special thank you to David for hosting us and bartending! Our Rigdon House bottle of wine is a special and memorable addition to our home bar.

Positive: The room size, decor and cleanliness. Negative: There seemed to never be any staff at the desk.

A lovely stay at Rigdon House, a quaint hotel a 2min walk from the Main Street in Cambria. Room was spacious and nicely furnished, with a small fridge, microwave & toaster which we weren’t expecting. Really nice common areas at the hotel including a nice bar area and outdoor seating area with fire pits and fairy lights. ||Staff were friendly & helpful and we particularly enjoyed the 5-7pm happy hour with 2 complimentary cocktails per guest which we enjoyed by the fire pit. There were also other nice touches such as complimentary snacks (biscuits, fruit, popcorn), water, tea & coffee available in common areas which was great. ||Only negative was that you could hear guests climbing the creaky wooden staircase to their rooms & every footstep from the room above however this is to be expected

This is a very well maintained, classic, rustic hotel located on the upper side of Cambria (so on the other side of "downtown"). There are several shops, bakeries, restaurants within walking distance. There is also a dog park within walking distance as well. On the other side of hotel there is a quaint little park with a creek. We stayed in room 22 (upstairs) and really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and roomy. We didn't take part in happy hour but enjoyed the snacks at the front desk and the in room coffee was very good! Our room was very quiet and the bed comfortable. The only problem was the shower had super weak pressure, so much so my wife didn't even attempt to use it. This definitely needs to be fixed. We'll definitely be back (but please fix the shower) :)

This is our favorite place to stay in Cambria! Christian was awesome! He was so kind and attentive during Happy Hour, he came out to the fire pit to offer our 3 girls Shirley Temples and make sure that we had everything we needed. I hope he's there next time we visit!
