This hotel was reasonably priced (for the area) and nice. Our room was clean and comfortable and even had an electric fireplace (not all of them do). The staff was great--helped us carry our luggage upstairs and even mailed me my backup glasses that I left in the room. It is across the street from the ocean, but several of the rooms have a partial ocean and sunset view. Most of them looked out on the parking lot and pool but were very quiet and may have had a little view. The free breakfast had pancakes, toast, muffins, coffee, and juice and was good. We would stay there again.

What a delightful inn! Every room has a view of the ocean. My room had a cozy fireplace. My cousins and I enjoyed the Jacuzzi and the fire pit. The inn provides breakfast: pancakes, bagels, toast, cereal, juice, coffee, fruit. The staff is friendly and accommodating. No wonder they have so many repeat visitors!

A last minute trip plan which led me to Castle Inn, but it became a core memory for me. Check in was easy, and the staff were friendly + welcoming, starting the stay off great. The room is simple, but it was spacious! Loved the amenities they had, and even with one night here I was able to use them all with ease. The pool is heated, and they have heaters around to help warm you up after a swim. Along with a fire pit. If it’s too cold like it was that night, the hot tub is great for soaking and looking up at the stars. In the morning my partner and I took a walk along the boardwalk which is across the road. One of the highlights of my time on the central coast. Missing this stay as I’m writing this review. Will definitely be back!

What a lovely spot on Moonstone drive. We loved that we could just walk right across the street to the boardwalk. There were seals on the rocks and tide pools to explore. The hotel was lovely, the room was great, all the amenities. We sat outside around the fire at night and visited with other guests, it was so relaxing. We had an excellent spot for a sunset, but the clouds were socked in. Breakfast in the morning was typical hotel breakfast, filling if not inventive. So easy to get to Hearst Castle we were able to take an early morning tour.
