The Rome Motel

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST MOTEL WE HAVE EVER STAYED IN. FILTY DIRTY, dirty sheets, dirty bathroom. Flat pillows, rock hard mattress, dirty walls, no smoke alarm ( how is this legal) slimy substance on nightstand, dirty windows, AC blowing nasty smelling warm air. Room was NON SMOKING, but reared smoke to where it burnt my throat.|Desperate for a room otherwise would have demanded money back. Family member in room next to us. Add was $89/night, he paid $ 117.00 we paid $ 140.00. Asked why are we charged more he said maybe because there were 2 of us??? Are you kidding me??|No one there to check you in, called the number and they came over an hour later. Made us late for our venue. No towels, no washcloths and no toilet paper (or a place to put it) it was broke off the wall!| The stench was sick

Don't ever accidentally book here. I did so and I'm not from here and relocating.... This must be a hotel for homeless or transients or something. First I booked online and nobody was there to check me in. Secondly, there was no water in my room or hot water. No sheets on the bed. The heating was turned up so high my dog was suffering in the night. I was told I'd receive a refund and to find another place! They said leave the key but I accidentally locked myself out in the chaotic situation and was told nobody would let me in the room! I had to call the oneida sheriff to pressure the ownership to come check me out! They then drove away leaving me unsure if they'd charge my card or not. They also own the Relax Inn. Worst experience ever and I've traveled the world. Its like a 3rd world coun

I noticed most of the reviews are several years old or older. Probably because very few go here? I took this room for one reasons, I couldn’t find anything else available because lots of people were in town chasing snow. This was a very strange experience, the woman that checks us in is extremely hard to understand. She checked us in over the phone while we stood in the office. She wasn’t actually present she was watching us on a camera. Since I had pre-booked, the bill was already made out, she had me reach through the hole in the plexiglass to sign the bill. Once again all of this was very difficult because she was very hard to understand. The key to the room was under the flower pot. Don’t forget the TP because there isn’t any in the room. We had no choice but to book a stay here last Saturday. I can't understand how a place in this condition is allowed to operate? The conditions of this motel were absolutely horrendous. No one at check in. Waited for owner to show up after a resident of the motel contacted her. Honestly how does someone have pride of ownership for a place like this? Totally inconsiderate of people that pay money to stay here. Thank God I brought a sheet and pillows to cover the bed otherwise we would have slept in the car or kept driving until we found something. I noticed your other relax inn reviews are no better. Come on people do better?

The most disgusting place I have ever been in my life. The first room we went in the air conditioning dinner work in the room was dirty. The second room they put us in the room was disgusting in the hot water, didn't work. We stayed for 10 minutes and decided that we were not safe. And then it was not clean highly recommended nobody ever stayed here.
