Relax Inn

extremely rude staff on insane power trip. my friends and i were visiting some people in Syracuse(we live three hours away) and on route home a huge snow storm hit. we only made it as far as rome before we realized we should probably find a place to stay and wait out the storm. first we go to a motel where we’re politely told we need to be 21(we are all 18)to check in. no worries we somewhat expected it but wanted a warm place to collect ourselves before heading back out. i call another hotel in the area before calling “Relax Inn” in where i ask them if i needed to be 21 in order to book a room. they tell me that we don’t need a 21 year old to book it and that it would be 119$ for one room. we are all very relived to have a place to sleep for a few hours. we make it to the relax inn only f

We (party of 4) checked in and were surprised to see an empty parking lot. And that the office was empty. We called the number and the office manager said she would be there in 15 minutes. She arrived and checked us in to two rooms, and then immediately left. The rooms were very basic, not very clean, but serviceable. The shower drain was clogged in one of them. Meh. It was cheap. After 30 minutes, two police cars pulled into the parking lot. They put signs up on the front entrance and on the office door saying the business was closed and its certificate of occupancy was REVOKED by order of the police. Needless to say, we packed up and left.

WORST PLACE IVE EVER BEEN AT. I was going to stay last night. I checked in then left for a hour or 2 to go out and have dinner with my gf. And I come back to finally go check the room out. Like I usually do anywhere I stay. I didn't feel safe for one. 2 I went to go plug the TV in and make sure it worked. And as I went to go touch the tv roaches came out of the tv. That was the straw for me. I don't do well with roaches. Nope. Please don't stay here the lady kicked me off the premises after I called them to tell them I wanted a refund. Not once did I get my refund back at all. They are terrible and rude. They don't deserve anyone's money here at all. They are dirty. And half of the lights didn't even work in the room. i think they got my og review taken down so ill post this again. this happened a while ago but who cares. my friends and i were driving home one night and got caught in a massive snow storm. we made the smart choice to drive into a town and find a place to stay. all of us were 18 so we tried calling around to find a place that would let us crash for a night without being 21. we called relax inn and told them we were 18, they said this was fine! we got to the place - it was still snowing- and all went to the lobby. the doors were not open, and we tried knocking. i than called , and was yelled at, first they said "it has to be cash" i asked if we could come inside and see how much cash we all had and how much it was, and was hung up on. i called back only to be SCREAMED at and asked"

At first I was kinda nervous with all the bad reviews but we can't judge a book from it's cover. My wife and I picked this motel for it being cheaper also the convenience of it being so close to everything. The staff are so amazing, and friendly. They definitely treat you as if you are family. It's a very safe place I went with my wife and children we will definitely be going back. I felt very safe as there is camera's that cover all the views. Our room was very clean, freshly remodeled, the house keeper definitely goes above and beyond the room smelled amazing. We ordered food and it went to the office and the house keeper hand delivered it for us, I want to give her a 5 star ⭐ if I could. All in all we will definitely be going there again.
