The Purple Ape Escape Resort

We stayed for a long weekend off season, and the Purple Ape Escape was perfect. Right on the water with your choice of canoes, paddle boards, and kayaks for water activities. They have a great fire pit with S’mores kits in your room when you check in! This spot is great for family trips with plenty of activities to keep the kids busy. The furniture is cozy, comfy and clean. The beach is right across the street. Location is amazing, definitely coming back next year.

This place was AMAZING! It is clean and updated. It’s miles ahead of any other place that I’ve stayed in the same area. Perfect location to walk to the beach and many of the restaurants and stores. The outdoor shower made coming in from the beach a lot easier and less messy. Free canoeing and kayaking. A cute free s’mores station set up before you get there and a firestarter to make it easy. Discount at the purple ape store next-door. You can borrow beach chairs and boogie boards. Down to a little net in case the kids want to try to catch fish. Indoor games and outdoor games. The TV already has networks that it’s logged into. Free Wi-Fi. Truly was an Escape. It was my nephew’s first vacation. He’ll never forget it.

Great location, tons of amenities and things to do. Tom the owner is amazing.

Booked on Airbnb and we loved the easy access to the beach and the amenities included.
