The Ponce St. Augustine Hotel

I stay here a few times a year, excellent value. The rooms are well kept. Peter is always helpful and kind when I visit, making sure my stay is a good one. Trains are mentioned and yes they are out back. If you like them, you'll love staying here. There is a beautiful deck to observe the passing trains and San Sebastian River, great for sunsets and birdwatching. If you don't like the trains you may want to request a front side room. Realistically you can expect 3-4 trains in late night hours (midnight to 6am) but more like two on Saturday and Sunday nights. As others mention the on-site Colombian restaurant is definitely worth a try with a very friendly staff and great food. I always enjoy my stays here.

A great location for exploring St Augustine, the centre of which is about 15 mins walk from the hotel. The room was easily accessible from the car park and there was a nice pool. There was a fair amount of road noise, so not the place to go if you require total peace, but this didn’t disturb me.

Positive: Location Negative: No washclothes. 4 towels provided for 5 people. Dirty washcloth hanging in the shower. Only one trash an in the entire room. 5 remotes for 2 TVs so it was difficult and time consuming to navigate the T.V.s. Found a black feather in the microwave. Weird

Stayed 2 nights here in February. The staff was amazingly attentive, especially Mikel and Peter. They checked on us all the days of our stay. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable . We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant on site and it was also incredible and reasonably priced. The location is perfect. Right by many businesses and a very easy walk to downtown. I will always stay here when visiting St Augustine from here on out .

We stayed here for "nights of lights" over Thanksgiving weekend. The hotel was tremendously better than I expected! It is an older hotel but they've updated it and it was very clean. Our bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, nice fluffy towels and a fabulous shower head! Didn't use the pool but it looked very nice and they had a fire pit going with lots of seating around it. There's also a Latin restaurant on site that smelled wonderful but was packed out so we never ate there. It was close enough to St. George St that we walked. Had a great time and would stay here again in a heartbeat! All of the staff I interacted with were so friendly and helpful.
