The Pinetop Lodge Motel

The Pinetop Lodge Motel is a great place. I stayed here as a traveling nurse. Everyone was nice and quiet. Very peaceful spot so easy to get to in winter weather. I had a 1 bed 1 bath unit. Tucked in the pines.

I went with my family to get away from the Phoenix heat and stumbled upon this welcoming motel. Once entered, the aura of the office was inviting and I instantly felt comfortable. The rooms were newly renovated, but with a hint of ancestry. They accommodated with my family nicely and provided room service while we were out exploring. The cherry on top was how affordable the rooms were. Family loved it and will be back!

The staff was friendly but the service they gave poor and the up keep of the place is sad. First when we got there, they tried to charge us more. Receptionist said they had just increased prices that day,... we had to be firm that we expected to pay what was on our reservation. So they gave me a refund (it later showed up as an additional charge!)||Once in our room, yes it was clean, but we did not have a microwave or mini frig as described, however since I had just had issues with the price of room checking in I left it at that.||The towels we had were clean but in such BAD shape I would have considered them rags or maybe sued them to wash my dog. Room have been updated and are very clean. Quiet location in a great part of town. No concerns with my stay at all. Definitely recommend for someone not trying to blow the budget and have a nice place to stay.

I had rented the same room the previous year and was looking forward to staying again. Sadly, despite reserving the room a week in advance, the day we got there and were getting different routes from Mapquest, no one answered the phone for half an hour. They apparently took off to Walmart at 3pm, after finding our way, other people staying there put us in contact with the owners that asked us to wait 20 minutes for them to return. When ready for bed our pullout couch had no blankets or pillows . I had to call the office and mentioned I made reservations for 4 people for two nights, not sure how they expected us all to fit on one bed or for two kids to sleep on a pullout with zero blankets or pillows.
