The Pierpont Inn

My husband and I just got back from an overnight stay here. We had such a wonderful time here. Our room came with a balcony that looked over the ocean and a fireplace, which made it feel so cozy. It also came with free breakfast. It was a little away from downtown so more peaceful. And also walking distance to the beach. The price was affordable and the staff are all super kind and helpful.

Had I been impressed with my early arrival - this entire review would be different. It was horrible - the gal was close to rude and made me feel very unwelcome. Not a good start… Later, the two young ladies that did check us in were very pleasant. Rooms are dated but clean Dog friendly rooms available Sunset views - but hard to not here the freeway Location is great for wandering around Ventura

My wife and I checked in on a Wednesday. Upon arrival I found out I booked the wrong dates. Yep, dumb right? |They got me into a suite with an ocean view for the same price anyway with 0 hassle! |The room was very spacious and comfortable with a Great view! The bed was firm and comfortable as well. They had HBO and two very nice Samsung big screens. |I saw no "Crackheads aanother reviewer stated. It's in a great area right just South of the peir. I've never had a problem in this area! Across the street is a very nice State Park right on the beach as well but most importantly, there is an In and Out Burger just down the street! |We will return here! Very nice with great people running it!

Positive: We loved sitting on the balcony because we had a beautiful ocean view, and we didn't mind the freeway. Negative: We couldn't get a hold of the front desk using the landline; texting them was the only way to communicate, and they responded promptly. The hotel does need a lot of upgrades; it would have been nice to have the restaurant open like in the past.

Our morning boat trip to Channel Islands was cancelled and they let us back into our room until check out which we were so grateful for. Only negative is that the pool was dirty and lounge chairs need to be replaced. Very good free breakfast in the morning.
