The Olympia Lodge

Not much of a breakfast. We bought brought our own box of cereal only to find they dont even have any milk for guests. Just hot tea and breads. Our bathtub also doesn't have a plug, the office closes at night and reopens at 7:30am. Otherwise, this has been a nice place to stay. The beds aren't super comfy, but they aren't springy either, very clean from what I can tell. Good value

10/10 experience. Vic was extraordinarily kind and helpful over-the-phone with our late check-in after close & info on safe large-space-parking nearby regarding our U-Haul trailer. The area is highly residential and feels incredibly safe. The room is exceptionally clean, spacious, and even the balcony furniture was quite tidy, (which is not something found often in beach towns.) Water for the shower was quite troublesome jumping from hot to cold in an instant but it was overall a very clean (great product brands as well) and wonderful experience. Have been on the road for a while and needed a place this sanitary to feel well again. This kind of service and atmosphere for this price point is wild.

The rooms here are pretty gross. Our first room had bugs and hair in the bathroom. The girl up front was very nice and switched our rooms however our second room was even worse. The stench of either mildew or mold from the bathroom was horrible and it was hard to even shower. There was a bug in one of the beds and again in the bathroom. We felt gross and checked out early and got a partial refund thankfully but we ended up staying elsewhere in our trip to Monterrey. The only positive of this place is that it is relatively close to the pacific grove downtown which was nice to walk through.

Positive: Comfortable beds. Negative: Would have been to have an outlet by the bed.

The toilet didn’t even flush and it smelt a bit weird and there were holes in the bedding. They also ran out of parking spaces very quickly and had to park on the road. It was okay for the night but wouldn’t stay again. It was nice a warm though lots of covers.
