Asilomar Hotel and Conference Grounds

Beautiful location! Won't be our first stay due to this. Room is dated, but aside from that bedding was clean. There was no hand gel and body wash, so that was inconvenient. The place is amazing outdoors though

Great location and great cafe and beautiful grounds. Rooms are very tired. Mostly clean but lots of deferred maintenance with rust in sinks, peeling wallpaper and even a mouse that invaded our room. Keep all food locked in car since you never know what critters will enter your room

Our family of 5 had such a great time at Asilomar. From the historic grounds nestled in the pines to the boardwalk leading to the beautiful white sandy beach. We lucked out with a newly renovated room in the Sands building with a patio and ocean view out back. My boys loved the snores by the fire pit, the pool table, and taking a dip in the heated pool. Highly recommend treating yourself to a delicious meal at Fish Wife walking distance from the property. 17 mile drive is also a must do.

Truly a dreadful stay, but at least the grounds and nearby beach were stunning so we didnt have to spend a ton of time in our awful room. This is the first negative review I've posted in YEARS, so keep that in mind. Signage is limited and unclear. We arrived at night and could NOT find the our building (The Willow Inn) - NO signs point to it except on the actual building which isnt visible from street. Lots of signs to other buildings.. just not ours. Spiders and cobwebs in the bathroom upon arrival, bathroom fan was out of order/no ventilation, window didnt open all the way - just two inches which meant NO circulation in room (uncomfortable nights, husband barely slept for three nights!). Breakfast was not where it was supposed to be on website, site map etc - and no signage indicating
