Fast early check in. Nice people. Clean, comfortable room but compact. It's the city, so if you are sensitive to noise you might want to bring earplugs. Nice pastries and coffee for breakfast. You could bring along some fruit. (Some people overdo it on the pastries.) There's also a nice coffee/tea maker in the room. Quick trip on the subway from Manhattan. Take the M train to 21 Street - Queensbridge, then it's two blocks north on 21st Street and left on 38th Avenue for three blocks. The area is a little gritty, so you might prefer to take an Uber. I had no problem with the subway.

This is a no-frills hotel that provides a basic, simple, clean room and en suite bathroom. It is a short cab ride away from mid-town Manhattan. |The staff - polite and mostly silent. |Decor - minimalist. Furniture looked vintage (I.e., old, scratched!). |Room - the bed occupied most of the space. No chair or work desk though the reservation specifically mentioned it. It also had the usual large wall-mounted TV.|Bathroom - modern with a walk-in shower (no tub). |They had a free continental breakfast (assorted small pastries, coffee, different types of tea bags) from 6:30 to 9:30 AM. |Surroundings - construction sites, parking lots, other hotels. ||Main drawback - the cost. $325+ per night before tax seemed excessive for this quality of accommodation despite it’s proximity to “the center of

I arrived to room 407 and it was so clean! Kudos to management and the cleaning staff. For the price I expected a dump. Sheets were crisp and shower glass was flawless and mirror was spotless and no dust on anything and smell in the room was brand new! A warning in winter there was ice on adjacent sidewalks that you end up walking on if you have a car because there is no parking lot here. If you’re trying to save money not staying in manhattan be ready for a very clean room. There were a few stains on the carpet but the overall cleanliness I’m just still so impressed with. No mineral stains on the sink, no crusties in the corners, baseboards all so good, even the phone and thermostat looked untouched. Thank you for keeping care of your rooms.

This hotel couldn’t be worse, the location is directly across from a garbage dumpster and garbage facility and it’s loud and stinks! Then there is a taxi depot next to that and it’s loud all night. The hotel is then surrounded by the Queensborough projects. Look it up on Google Maps, you will see for yourself. It’s not a safe neighborhood at all & Im from Chicago & have no issue with sketchy areas in general - this was worse than anything I’ve encountered in life. There were people laid on the steps with syringes all around & people fighting in the street at night. The hotel Itself is nice looking inside and has a pastry breakfast included so please Don’t ever select the option to pay for it that some websites offer. There are no refrigerators in rooms as advertised and if you turn the li

Arrived to a pot smelling room. They suspect that the window was open and the smell drifted in. I had to stay another night and that room had left over toiletries that were obviously already used. The staff were helpful in letting me change rooms and were fast to respond. Debit card holds of $200 need to wait 30 days for release which they don’t tell you, only saying credit cards are a few days. Annoying to have to keep track of it for so long. The area is a little questionable between the subway to the hotel at nighttime. Not well lit in areas and not many people around with dark construction sites and no footpaths.
