The Monarch Motel

We had a very pleasant four day stay at the Monarch while visiting family in Cheboygan. The room was attractively decorated and very clean. The king bed was really comfortable. We plan on booking again when we visit family, and recommend the Monarch Motel while visiting the Cheboygan/Mackinac area.

This was a great place to stay. the room was well decorated and comfortable. It felt like home rather than a motel room. The owners were friendly and helpful.

We drove up with no reservation. The owner had just put the closed sign up as she was going out of town. I walked in and she still gave us a room and told us where to leave the key. We talked for almost an hour. The room was perfect. Very clean. The colors were bright and cheerful. We walked to dinner and had the best Whitefish. I highly recommend this hotel. We will definately be back again. We are from Florida and we were traveling to the UP. A perfect stop. Lovely.Absolutely lovely .

The rooms were quaint and cute with a nautical theme and an extremely comfortable bed. This place is perfect for when you just need a place to spend the night before you travel to Mackinaw City or other locations for tourism. The management staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

This was a great place to stay. The rooms are clean, the sheets are soft, and a box fan is included in the room! The owner was just a delight and very knowledgeable about the Cheboygan area. Will definitely stay there again!
