The Melrose, Bed & Bath

I stayed here for the night to see a concert at the Stone Pony. It was Labor Day weekend so I overpaid for sure. $400 for the night. The room was incredibly small, the private bathroom was across the hall!. There was no breakfast. I saw no one that worked there. The room smelled like mildew and there was handprints on the full length mirror. The pictures online are very deceiving. The only plus was the proximity to the Stone Pony and plenty of places to eat/drink. I wouldn’t pay more than $100 a night to stay there.

I had a vacuum cleaner laying in the middle of the hallway outside of my room. I almost fell over it trying to get into my room. Pictures online are so fake. Didn't look like my room at all. I requested extra towels, and other things. They did get back to me quickly each time but they said someone would get there within an hour so I expected these items when we got back from our event that night as that was 5 hours later and nothing until I reached out to them the next morning requesting for a second time. The flooring is very old. Air vent in AC was broken and the outlet situation for one person at least was right above our heads. No little shelf to place the phone on to charge. Not good to charge it with it laying on the bed as that can start a fire. Room was way over priced for an Octob

We stayed at the Melrose for 5 days . We found street parking right by the house. The location is perfect !! Our questions were answered promptly. It was a short walk into town and to the beach. We used the chairs provided. We often walked into Asbury and explored their downtown restaurants and coffee shops too. We even rented a swan paddle boat . Great memories made.

We checked in and were shocked with the room. It was nothing like the images online. It was sparse and had mismatched furniture. We left immediately. There was a long hair on the tub ledge. I would never stay in such a place and would not recommend you go here. Very deceiving

This place is just a block from the beach and the boardwalk. Rooms were very clean. Cleaning staff on-site was very accommodating. Check in was a breeze. They offer a discount code for badges down by the coffee machine/microwave. Parking can be tough so would recommend getting down early and spending the day on the beach before check in.
