The Mariner Resort Cape Cod by The Red Collection

I thought it was a rather nice place, wish it was a tad closer to my HQ, but I can't really fault it for that. Great continental breakfast, first one I've had in like four or five hotels so that was a welcomed surprise. It was executed well, too. Staff could have been a bit more personable, but they may just not have been super warm people (I can accept that, but a little charisma goes a long way, especially in this particular line of work; patrons remember a lot if not everything about an experienced such as this). Even though it was pretty snowy out, it was still pretty inviting & cozy. The consumers who I did cross paths with during my stay were all pleasant. Had an indoor/outdoor pool which was out of commission but we still count it. Good number of rooms and clean accomodations to boo

We stayed a night, off-season. This seemed like just the sort of property we'd want when we were young with kids and would rather use big money to save for college instead of vacation frippery most kids, except the jaded ones, don't care about. Seemed clean, well-maintained and friendly, convenient to Cape Cod attractions.

Positive: The outside of the property was well kept and inviting. Mini golf and swing set on property. Negative: The name was misleading. It says it’s a resort but is a Red Roof In motel. When I thing of a resort I expect a restaurant and bar on property. Breakfast was provided.… extremely pick and under staffed. Dog poop left by ice machine all day.

Old and run down. First night we got trapped in our room because the deadbolt was broken in striker. Luckily we were on ground floor. . I ended up getting door open using plastic knives as no maintenance on staff. Breakfast sucks!!! Frozen egg pucks, waffle machine , small old bagels and cold cereal. When we booked we asked if there was bacon of sausage etc like other places on strip and told yes. Room was clean however bathroom is the size of a broom closet (can’t wait to get home to take a shower). Worse kids over run the place. Parents hide in the dining area and play games while their kids run up and down hallways, right In plain view of the front desk until after midnight. Smell of weed permeates the hallway . Hot tub is actually crumbling inside as you are constantly stepping on

This hotel has a 3 star, it should be more like 1. The service didn’t talk to you, the breakfast was disgusting, and the beds are rock hard. My neck hurt so bad after sleeping in it. The lamp shades had stains and there was only 1 open charging port. There was a bug in the bathtub and stains on the mirror. The only good thing about the hotel was how there was an amazing donut place across the street. The sliding door was broken, it came off you couldn’t even open it. There was also a horrible smell in the room as soon as we got there.
