The Mansion Inn

Very cute, very old house that needs work. This house has so much potential but needs maintenance. The screens need to be repaired in the front, The grounds need to be kept up with. The lightbulbs on both lamps were out in the room. Some dust on the blinds and peeling paint on baseboards. It looks like they put minimal effort into this home. Great location! Walking distance to a lot of fantastic restaurants, bars, pier, park and museums etc.. We would stay there again for a quick night only.

This place is nothing like the pictures. Our room was broken down, literally falling apart. Plumbing fixtures looked like a handyman installed with spare parts, multiple joints in the wall were cracked. Ceiling fan was loud and needed to be balanced. You could hear every little step anyone else took in the building. The shower was grotesque and needed more than a deep clean. There were rat traps placed in the common area. This is the most disgusting place I've ever seen. I cannot stress this enough, stay away.

I’m not sure why I booked this hotel. There is no cancellation policy, no front desk to check me in or out. There was no way to contact management for any questions or requests. I had to go to Ponce de Leon Hotel to pick up key when I arrived. The room was almost OK except strange smell coming from somewhere (like behind wall?). Funny setup with bathtub in the room with only shower curtain to separate from the room. There was good pressure of hot water from the shower once I figured to adjust the shower head. The room reminds me of an old European house in poor neighborhood. I don’t understand why the owner doesn’t take good care of the place. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Had it booked for 2 nights but didn't stay for either. This place is nothing like the pictures at all. Our room was disgusting, toilet seat was broken off, toilet was not secured to the floor, room was dirty, sheets were stained, window air conditioner was plugged into an extension cord that also had a mini fridge plugged into it, not safe at all. The smell of smoke was so overwhelming when you walk into the home that it made me sick. This is the most disgusting place I've ever seen.

This is an old mansion that needs a lot of TLC. The photos do not reflect the property nor the amenities. There were zero amenities. The keys to my bedroom door got stuck in the lock every time I tried to open or lock it and I would yell “hello can someone help me” with no response. I was the only customer. People seem to live there in other bedrooms and it was just weird. I had to call a family member staying at a nearby hotel to help my get me out of my 4 night stay. Nobody was ever around. So she called the phone number that was written on a window and cancelled my remaining 2 nights of a 4 night stay. The location was fabulous BUT it is not a nice place to stay. A lot of inside and outside work on the mansion and staff availability definitely needs to be done.
