The Lamplighter Bed & Breakfast

If I could share more than 5/5 stars I would!!! My husband and found The Lamplighter when planning a weekend trip just the two of us, and it is the coziest B+B in Ludington. We arrived and were immediately greeted by Jen who gave us a quick tour and then welcomed us to fresh made chocolate chip cookies. The next morning, she and her husband Dan made the most delicious breakfast, and after some chatting, recommended other activities for us outside of our skiing adventures like hiking at the Ludington State Park during a lantern night hike and places to eat. They have hospitality down to perfect and are very genuine people. If you're looking for a sign to have a B+B stay in Ludington, this is your place. You will have the best food and the best time when you stay here!

We arrived and were greeted by Jen. She is warm and attentive and even helped us carry our bags upstairs. The room was so comfortable and they even had a sound machine in the room! So clean- they had a small fridge right outside our room stocked with water and soda and an ice machine. The dining room is always open with the most delicious cookies, local coffee and tea and wine glasses available for the wine we picked up. The breakfast was amazing served early enough for us to get to the ferry easily at 8am. The location is within walking distance to town and some great breweries and a 5 minute drive to the ferry terminal. Great value and wonderful hosts!

I have come here a few times, and I just love it. Perfect location for a retreat. Jen and Dan are wonderful hosts. Great breakfasts and homemade cookies. This Inn is wonderful for a solo person or a family. Less than a mile walk to the beach and a 10 minute drive to the state park!

Stayed her for one night on a leaf peeping tour. What a wonderful B&B! Beautiful home and Dan & Jen have thought of everything one needs! Our room was the Carpenter Room, it was very comfortable and having a fridge with water and soda right outside the rooms for the guests is always so nice! The coffee/tea/cocoa bar in the dining room 24/7 with a yummy dessert available was much appreciated. Jen is a wonderful chef, breakfast was delicious! Will definitely stay here again when in the area!

Needed a 1 night stay in Ludington before catching the SS Badger early the next morning.|Found the Lamplighter online & thought we would try it out.|We are SO glad we did! The Lamplighter is much better than a hotel stay. The wood work & old original fixtures in the house were incredible. It almost felt like we were relaxing in a nice comfortable museum. The owners were very friendly & did a great job making us feel welcome, but at the same time leaving us to our own privacy.|Since we needed to leave fairly early in the morning we opted for a lighter breakfast. Scones & a parfait. Although light, it was very nicely prepared & quite tasty !|The Badger loading area was only about a 3 minute drive away.|Would definitely stay at the Lamplighter again…|Highly recommend !||Scott & Rhonda (KY)
