K's Edgewater Resort

More like a timeshare than it is a resort. We Inquired about renting a cottage in July or August of 2026, (also 2027, 2030, 2040, etc., etc.), and were told by the owner, that their cottages are basically held for their returning guest to rent during the same time period, each year. They do have a waiting list that you can put your name on. However, family members of the original renter also have first crack at renting a cottage before the begin calling people on "the list".

My husband's family came during the 50-60's back when it was Brownee's. ||||Tom has continued to make it a great "home away from home", to bring back those good memories, and to create new ones! The cabins are kept clean and up to date. Tom is all about making sure that each person has a great experience! (Thanks, Tom!)||||There are nearby areas to swim, boats to rent, fishing, sand dunes, and all of the good summer time fun! We rented a pontoon from Tom and enjoyed the afternoon on Hamlin Lake. The boat was clean and ran great! This place is my happy place! The time we spend here ever is just so fun. Our family uses 8 of the 9 cabins that K’s Edgewater Resort has to offer. We as a family have been using this resort since 1999 and just love it. Bill is the manager and makes things better each year. We just got home yesterday and we can’t wait to get back! Our family has been traveling to Ludington for almost 5 decades, and every trip we stay at K's, in the same cabin. Perfect setting for us, close to town, close to Lake Michigan beaches if you want to get off of Hamlin Lake for the day, plenty (or nothing) to do at the resort - it has exactly what you're looking for. K's ownership is top notch as well, with small updates every year. The property is well kept and safe. So incredibly thankful for our time at K's and we can't wait for the summer of 2018 to return.

We stayed at K's for the first time this year. We had never been to Ludington prior to this trip and I actually stumbled upon K's on Tripadvisor. We rented cabin #4 and I think the screened in porch was essential. The cabin was more than we expected and very cozy. My husband insisted on the air conditioner at night because it was so humid but being able to just open the windows and doors out front to enjoy the Lake View was nice. I was most impressed with the kitchen amenities. I was able to cook 2 full meals, we only stayed 3 nights, with the supplies that Tom has in the kitchen. I actually loved the frying pan and I am going to find one for myself, it made the perfect over easy egg. Also loved that each cottage had its own picnic table and chairs to sit by the water.
