Hobby Crest Resort

Dined at The Perch restaurant this evening. Food was delicious, from the alligator bites, to the French dip sandwich and burgers. The waitress (I forgot to get her name but she had red hair in braids) was delightful and and competent. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Hobby Crest. We stayed in the recently renovated Fox Den cabin. The furniture and decorations were beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. The views of Hamlin lake were stunning and the cabin and Resort grounds had everything we could have asked for. ||||We started referring to Hobby Crest as the Four Seasons of Ludington because everything was taken care of everyone knew our names. Randy and Christy and the entire staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and they really made it feel like a home away from home. ||||We have stayed at several resorts in Ludington, but Hobby Crest was by far our favorite and we can't wait to go back!

Our family of 4 truly had one of the best weeks enjoying the beauty and splendor of northern Michigan in the summertime at Hobby Crest Resort. There was truly something for every member of our active family, that includes one tween and one teen. The resort is well appointed with 2 beaches, a fun swim area, lots of space for activity and lounging. The resort location and ability to hike into Ludington State Park, especially at sunset, was wonderful! We took advantage of the pontoon rental and had a great day exploring Hamlin Lake and Ludington State Park from a one of a kind vantage point! Nice resort, updated with modern amenities and refurbished cabins. Nice yard and beach. Restaurant on site with plenty of parking. Only a few cabins for rent but all are nice. Just a few miles north of Ludington.

Great place for a vacation or quick weekend. The cabins are beautiful! First time at Hobby Crest was 1982. Can not believe the transformation. Amazing job! Wonderful new additions, but still feels like the resort from my childhood.
