The Lake Front Hotel

Absolutely unbeatable location! Easy parking, gorgeous lake views, boat access, and amazing rooms. I booked for a weekend music festival without much research and was pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel was. Clean rooms, beautiful grounds, great service. I cannot recommend highly enough. There is plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the views, I lucked out and saw peak foliage on my stay. The lake is clean and beautiful, depending on time of year your stay includes a free boat tour. The attached restaurant is an easy walk, has discounts for hotel guests, and is so accessible. Very happy with my experience and I will be back!

We had an AMAZING stay! Everything was perfect! The people were ALL so wonderful ~ at the Lake Front Hotel, the Glimmerglass boat lake tour and the restaurant there ~ special shout out to Patty, Stevie, Steve, and Ellie! Thank you, love you, may God bless you. We had a lovely sunset dinner and breakfast on the dock. The entire area of Cooperstown is beautiful. Amazing views. Other guests were friendly. The hotel was clean. Quiet. Bed comfy. Hot water shower lovely. Free parking. Walk right to everything down town. What’s not to love? Really so happy we decided to stay at the Lafe Front Hotel.

We recently stayed here for a visit to the Baseball Hall of Fame, and while the location couldn’t have been more perfect—just a short walk to the museum and great nearby restaurants—the overall experience had a few downsides. The highlight of the stay was the beautiful waterfront view from our window, which was peaceful and relaxing to wake up to. The location is truly the hotel’s biggest strength. The room was okay, though not the most comfortable. When we arrived, there were some leaves and gravel on the floor, likely tracked in from the lot. The bathroom had only a pedestal sink, which made it a bit tricky to get ready—there was nowhere to set toiletries, do makeup, or put in contacts easily. 😊: The hotel's restaurant was excellent, with delicious food. I also really appreciated the hotel's location and the beautiful view of the lake.. 😢: What I disliked about my apartment was the persistent moldy smell in the room, even after leaving the window open all day. It caused me to experience respiratory symptoms like coughing and wheezing on my first night, which improved with my asthma medication. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was very slow and the signal was weak, making it barely usable in my room..

The only thing this place has going for it is the location. Walkable to all things downtown Cooperstown. The view is nice. The restaurant’s food is one star above mediocre. No coffee maker in the room, but there is coffee in the main office. That coffee was not very good. Room temperature managed by a mini split right above the bed which blows directly on you. Housekeeping staff walked in on me without knocking while I was standing there buck naked. Extremely expensive for a two star Motel.
