August Lodge Cooperstown

We recently stayed for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary and were pleasantly surprised by how much we love this place! It is unique and not your run of the mill hotel. The rooms are overly spacious, with a kitchenette and a balcony! The views .. amazing! Staff was very helpful! Conveniently located to all the local attractions, but just far enough off the beaten path to enjoy the quiet and peaceful country setting! Glad we chose this hotel and will definitely go back!

This is a Mom and Pop place located in a field outside of Cooperstown. The rooms were more that adequate and clean. This would be a great place to bring a group with kids because there is plenty of room in the field for the kids to run around while the parents use the grills to cook dinner. Don't expect much in terms of their breakfast - bananas.apples and bars that look like they came from the corner gas station. But, the people who run the place are wonderful, kind and down home friendly. We would return.

I could not be happier with stay. The Manager provided us with wonderful experience by going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. The hotel's location is absolutely perfect and the view was breathtaking! Would highly recommend!

For the last 9 years we book a trip to Cooperstown in early September and always stay at the August Lodge . It is so peaceful and relaxing there . The rooms are very well maintained as well as the entire area around the lodge . We also enjoy using the pool and hot tube . But what definitely makes this place special are the people working there . Special shout out to Brian and Carl who always go out of their way to make our stay memorable. Looking forward to our trip next year

I had a wonderful stay at August Lodge this week and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Cooperstown area. The lodge is just a few minutes from downtown, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the town and enjoying the local dining options nearby. What really stood out to me were the beautiful views and the character of the place. The lodge has a rustic, vintage-native style that gives it a cozy and memorable personality. Each room door is custom painted, which adds a thoughtful and charming touch. My room was spacious, exceptionally clean, and even included a small kitchenette—perfect for making a quick breakfast or storing snacks. Though I didn’t explore the grounds much myself, everything looked well maintained. The pool was clean and inviting, and there's a lovely fire
