The Jeffrey Hotel: Value With a Few Echoes In the best tradition of mountain lodgings, The Jeffrey Hotel offers a compelling blend of location and economy; serenity is somewhat less assured. Nestled within easy reach of the gondola, particularly convenient after discovering the shortcut around day three for us (cobered in snow), its positioning is a genuine strength for skiers intent on maximizing slope time. For those seeking value for money in a resort town often allergic to the phrase, this small efficiency is no small achievement. Guests would be wise to approach check-in with care. The hotel operates without staff; access codes are issued only after completing an online check-in. This step is easy to overlook when arriving in person; several fellow guests were seen grappling with th

We have stayed in many hotels in this area, but this one really has everything needed at a great price. The room heated quickly, the bed was really comfy, bathroom had a walk-in shower, and each nightstand had charging available including a USB-c outlet. There was a table with 2 chairs--yes! Microwave, coffee machine, wine corkscrew, plates, plastic ware, cups, coffee, and a good sized refrigerator. Also, plenty of space to hang clothing and a boot tray for dripping boots. There is an upper deck and a common area which we didn't make use of, but we will on future stays. Parking is easy and checkin and checkout is easy. We've seen this place go through renovations, and I think their focus was functionality and comfort. IMHO, they nailed it.

Enjoyed our stay when visiting Tahoe for a ski trip! This spot is about a 10-15 min walk from the gondola/shuttle service, and restaurants/coffee shops/entertainment. There’s no staffed lobby on-site, but they’re fast to answer requests via text and call. We used the lobby space a couple times to hang out. We also loved the fire place in the room! A few things to consider: - It’s ideal to stay on the top floor. When people come home from a day on the mountain, it’s pretty loud as they come up the stairs and stomp their boots (us included). We were on the top floor and it was loud, so I couldn’t imagine what it sounded like downstairs. - There is no fan in the bathroom; gets real steamy. - The room we were in (18) did the job for the price, but it was definitely a little tight for two peop

We had a wonderful time in a nice, clean, comfortable room. The location is ideal, close to the beach and casinos but tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The guest relations are a highlight. I had several calls and each one was greeted with a helpful solution. We had car trouble upon arrival and needed a late check out. Then when the car needed repair they happily extended our stay at a discount. My vacation was saved due to your hospitality. Thank you. We're definitely returning.

My husband and I stayed at The Jeffrey Hotel for several days—our second time here—and overall, it was a good experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the location is fantastic. We love the beautiful trees surrounding the property, it really adds to the charm. That said, there were a few things that took away from the experience. The shower curtain was moldy and had a pretty strong smell, which wasn't pleasant at all. The floor looked clean, but walking around in socks quickly proved otherwise, the bottom of our socks turned completely black, which was wild. Also, the exposed light bulbs in the room may add to the aesthetic, but they’re harsh on the eyes and not very comfortable to be around in the evening. Still, we like the place and would probably stay again, but a few u
