Fireside Lodge

Ok, we've only been here 2 hours, but we're already in love. I'm the type who scours every possible hotel, lodge and AirBnB before choosing a place to stay, and I'm so glad we ended up at Fireside. When we first walked into the common areas, we knew we struck gold. There was a very welcoming group sitting around the living area together, enjoying the last minutes of happy hour. In comes Eric, who shows us around the lodge, making us feel right at home. The lodge includes a breakfast bar (Belgian waffles is the hot ticket item), s'mores for the fire pit, the gathering room, and a common dining area complete with games, books, and full bar, is adjacent to the vintage arcade space - with Skee ball, air hockey and more. Just outside are bike paths (the lodge comes complete with beach cruisers

Great place to stay in South Lake Tahoe! Nice quiet area but only about a 10 minute drive into the town area. Room was very clean (#3 Angler) with great amenities, coffee maker, microwave, small frig with a breakfast table. Their expanded continental breakfast was perfect and the evening happy hour with wine, etc. is a nice bonus. Bikes available, firepit with s'mores and a very sweet dog to relax with! It's a classic motel design and they have done an excellent job with property!

The Fireside Lodge was cozy and the owners and their family and dogs were loving and hospitable. The rooms were cozy with a big bed, fireplace and convenient kitchenette. The breakfast and happy hour were so nice and it was nice to socialize in the homey common areas with the owners family and other guests. The bikes were such a great perk with the lodge being right on the bike trail. The owners had such great local recommendations for adventures and food. The entire stay was exactly what you would want from a bed and breakfast - felt like you were staying in a loved one’s home. Can’t wait to come back with the dogs next time

We could not ask for a better stay at Fireside Lodge! Our room was beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The location of the lodge is great, very quiet on the edge of town, and only a short drive to the center of South Lake Tahoe. The owners really are terrific hosts - we enjoyed both their breakfast and Happy Hour! Visiting from Maryland!

First stay at Fireside but won't be our last! It is apparent that the owners/staff love this property & the guests who visit. They arr friendly, kind, & accommodating. Every detail from the comfy mattress to the Belgian waffles, happy hour, sauna, smores, bikes, fireplace, & game room made our stay comfortable, relaxing, satisfying, & FUN! GREAT TIME!!!
