Black Bear Lodge

The cabins are comfortable, nicely decorated and clean. The fireplace was lovely especially because the weather was chilly. Some reviews mentioned a complimentary drink upon arrival which wasn’t offered to us so we purchased a glass of wine and left a tip. Then upon check out we discovered that there is a 10-15% tip charged to the room bill. The hot tub wasn’t available which was disappointing. This was an amenity we were hoping to enjoy.

Really cool spot to stay with friends or family. We had a double room with two bathrooms which was very convenient. The staff is attentive and you can relax in their lobby lounge with a beer or a glass of wine. Will definitely come back.

Had a great stay at Black Bear. Coco at the front desk/bar is wonderful!! She made our stay as newlyweds that much more memorable. We booked one of the rubicon rooms. More affordable yet still comfy. They all have balconies/patios too. The lobby and bar is beautiful and cozy. Also, you’re provided with baked cookies on arrival!! We will definitely be back!

Absolutely LOVED the Black Bear Lodge! We stayed in one of the cabins and it was stunning! Spacious, clean and comfortable with a lovely fireplace that made the room so cozy. The staff are brilliant at Black Bear! So welcoming, lovely and friendly and full of tips and advice for things to do and places to go. There’s also a bar in the main lodge that does a wonderful wine flight (with a happy hour price!). There are so many little touches that have been thought of like arrival cookies, games and comfy sofas and chairs in the main lodge by the fire and decent tea and coffee in the room (and plenty of it so you don’t have to ask for more).
