The Inn on Knowles Hill Boutique Hotel

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at Knowles Hill Bed & Breakfast was absolutely wonderful! The house is beautifully restored with so much character, and the rooms are spotless, cozy, and comfortable. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was absolutely delicious—freshly made and served with such care. The location is perfect, just a short walk from downtown Sonora, yet peaceful and relaxing. We can’t wait to come back and highly recommend this charming inn to anyone visiting the area!

Restored to its 1920's splendor, the owner/innkeeper invites you to spend time enjoying the hilltop scenery, reading in a chaise lounge, or just relaxing in the individually designed rooms. The gourmet breakfast was amazing in flavor and presentation. So many little touches made the stay comfortable.

We had the pleasure of a short, but wonderful stay at The Inn on Knowles Hill. We visited Sonora during the offseason so the Inn and town was quiet, but the location is amazing and it was one of the highlights of our vacation. The rooms were well decorated with a touch of cozy luxury and the rest of the inn was a joy to spend time in. The best part of the stay was the breakfast, which was spectacular and the service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Sonora!

The Inn on Knowles Hill is fantastic for a couples get away. The house and grounds are amazing. The room and bed were well appointed, comfortable, and spotless. Breakfast is five stars and the best we’ve had in years. We would stay again. They have cats you can pet and interact with if you’re a cat person.

Where to begin with the wonderful, unique and eclectic Inn on Knowles Hill. The short version of our weekend stay is this hotel is a trip back in time and an experience for the senses. From the interior design, furnishings and vintage everything to the delicious breakfasts, it truly was a fantastic and unique experience.||Rhonda and Fred are the proprietors and have created a one of a kind place to stay in the California foothills. Most, if not all, of the furnishings and items in the house are from the 1920's and early 1930's. I won't tell the tale, but you should ask Rhonda about where the furniture came from - it's a great story.||We stayed in the Earl Warren room which faces east and created a wonderful sunrise as it came up over the hills each morning.
