The Inn On Gore Mountain

I had arrangements with Chris the owner to accommodate myself and 26 others for my husband's memorial on the weekend of July 12. Five days before my arrival I was informed, by a third party, that the Inn was no longer available to us. No explanation or contact was made. Needless to say I was devastated by the total lack of disregard and disrespect. With the help of strangers and at great expense we were able to find last minute accommodations but were scattered all over the area. Take my advice and do not trust this owner or establishment.

We visited for my sister's wedding weekend and it was absolutely perfect! The cabins are so cozy and the rooms are decorated nicely. One of our bathroom sinks was from a real granite rock that was carved into a sink!! We loved the electric fireplace in the bedrooms, too! The view was beautiful! There is so much to do around the area, and it was very convenient to have a Stewart's and Dollar General within a 2 mile radius. 100% recommend, and we plan to visit again!

Most delicious food, best selection​, freshest ingredients. Comfortable, casual surroundings​. Very reasonable prices. Can not be beat. Post script: have been to this restaurant at least twice since last review. I keep thinking this place can't get any better but it does. Went with party of three a few evenings ago and even though only one is vegetarian we each had a different vegetarian meal. All delicious. You have to try the Wedding Pasta; truly a uniquely brilliant dish. It is beyond words. This restaurant is a treasure.

We just stayed here last night after our reservation fell though at another hotel. What a awesome surprise we had finding this place. The food at the restaurant was amazing and made even better by the home made deserts. Possibly the best cheese cake I have ever had. Phebe and Rich were super friendly and really made our experience even better. Very cool place, we'll be back for sure. Even if your not spending the night, the food is well worth the stop.
