North Creek Lodge at Gore Mountain

Will not be staying here again. The single positive part about this place is that the lady at the front desk is nice. 1.) They charge you per person, not per room, which is bonkers. 2.) When we arrived to our room one of the beds was crooked from the wall. 3.) We were given one comforter for our two bed room and were told a comforter would cost an extra $10 because they were "low on comforters". My friend ended up sleeping with only a sheet. 4.) The floorboards of our room has gaps that were many inches wide between each board and sank in with every step. 5.) Our room felt dirty and unkept. 6.) Came here because it’s very close to Gore Mountain. This place is worse than a budget motel!! Avoid this place as much as possible. This place is dirty and infested with insects. We had ants in the bathroom. Ladybugs everywhere. And one day I woke up seeing daddy long legs in my bed. They tried to make it look good with a budget renovation. Who puts floating wood floors on top of carpet?? And the bathroom just looks like they put the plastic bathroom frame over the old tiles that’s prob all rotted out. There’s only one girl working there and she can really do only 1 thing at a time. Never heard of multitasking. She is nice. Just not very effective if working the bar, waitress, checking ppl in. BUYER BEWARE. The restaurant and bar are closed. Rooms remind me of a Super 8, outdated, not maintained, hard mattress, the wood chair is ready to fall apart, 1 pillow per person. The walls are so thin, so can hear everything including road noise. Breakfast was very disappointing with eggs being cooked in a wok and toast with no jelly, no jams just a stick of butter. It was the disappointing to check-in and the windows are open because they're power washing the kitchen and it's 30 something degrees. NEVER AGAIN. They told me they would be a partial refund. Now I'm not so sure they are giving the refund.

As a mom of three who was looking forward to a peaceful weekend getaway near Gore Mountain, this turned into one of the worst lodging experiences we’ve ever had. Don’t get me wrong, location was great given that it was less than 10 minutes away from Gore Mountain but we will never come back. The rooms were outdated, and the door locks did not feel secure. The locks were taped! However, the most troubling part was the owners’ behavior. Our group was falsely accused of not paying (despite having paid in full), later accused of damaging property with comments that felt discriminatory, and on our final night, the owner entered our room without permission and recorded video of our minor children, which was then posted freely on social media. Excellent lodge very close to Gore Mountain. Rooms were very cozy, comfortable, and clean! Owners are incredibly kind and friendly, and atmosphere overall was wonderful. To top it off, the wifi at this lodge is fantastic, super high-speed even when my own phone signal was gone! And the complimentary self serve breakfast every morning is very convenient and thoughtful as there aren’t many shops or food establishments nearby. Overall an amazing experience at North Creek Lodge!
