This is a great lodge to warm up or take a bathroom break. It's conveniently located at the summit of Gore Mountain, right next to the Straight Brook Quad. There are some cool gondola cabin chairs from the Old Red Gondola, and the components from the old gondola are still there, such as the bull wheel, the sheaves, and some of the towers. It's always a good experience stopping in this cozy lodge.
Its warm, airy, and has indoor pit toilets. The painted wood floor is slippery, its furnishings were recycled from the Saddle Lodge renovation, and the only way to get a drink of water is to buy from a vending machine .
Sweet spot for a stop whilst skiing
It is a good place to warm up or take a break. No services other than vending machines indoor composting toilets which is a nice upgrade from the outhouses.
What a spectacular addition to the summit of Gore Mountain. The place looks great.
